Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2024

It has taken a while to process some of the images from the 2024 Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, UK. The airshow is the largest one of the year with fast jets, display teams and rarities from all over the world.  As you can see from the images, the weather was kind this year too.

A much missed plane in the skies over the UK is the Harrier, so it was wonderful to see the display given by the Spanish Navy of the AV-8B II Harrier .

2024 also marks the centennial year of the Royal Canadian Air Force so there was a flypast by the McDonnell Douglas CF-188 which was accompanied by the Spitfire LFVb.

The Lockheed U-2, nicknamed "Dragon Lady" was a great sight to see taking to the skies over RAF Fairford.  My favourite display of the airshow though was the F15-QA which was provided by Boeing and kitted out in Qatari Emiri Air Force colours. This aircraft represents one of the most advanced F-15 variants ever made.

Images can be viewed in my Portfolio on this website. I hope you enjoy them.
